What Flora Farms in Mexico Taught Me About Farm-to-Glass Cocktails
I've been to Flora Farms three times now, and every single visit leaves me more inspired than the last.
If you've never heard of it, Flora Farms is a working organic farm in San José del Cabo, Mexico. Flora's Field Kitchen sits right in the middle of it, and their entire philosophy is built around one simple commitment: exclusively offering what they craft, nurture, and cultivate. The menu is seasonal, the ingredients are farm-fresh, and you can taste the difference in every single sip.
That's exactly the kind of place that reminds me why I do what I do.
The Farmarita
Flora's Farm Bar serves craft cocktails infused with the essence of fruits and vegetables grown right on the property, and their signature Farmarita is the perfect example. It's a unique twist on the traditional margarita featuring an heirloom carrot infusion. Bright orange, naturally sweet, and completely unlike any margarita I've had before. It's the kind of drink that could only exist somewhere like this.
That's the standard I hold myself to with every BUBBLES menu.
The Pelo de Perro
Flora's take on a Bloody Mary, called the Pelo de Perro, is what really stopped me in my tracks. Instead of a thick, heavy tomato base, it's crafted with heirloom tomato water. Light, silky, and impossibly smooth. The kind of drink that goes down dangerously easy. Every element intentional, nothing shortcut.
Why This Matters
Farm-to-glass isn't a trend. It's a philosophy, one that starts with asking where your ingredients come from and having an answer. Flora Farms has built their entire restaurant around that answer. When I leave there, I come home more committed than ever to bringing that same intention to every event BUBBLES serves.
If you've never visited Flora Farms, add it to your list. And if you want that same care brought to your next event in Southern California, you know where to find us.
